I’ve captured 200+ surprise proposals as a photographer — at sunrise, sunset, the middle of the day, in the mountains, on the beach, at a lighthouse — you name it! Specializing in surprise proposals in Acadia National Park and in Portland, Maine, I’ll guide you step-by-step. All you have to do is show up!
Maine has the most stunning landscapes with the most stunning sunrises and sunsets. Based on your preferences, I’ll help you pick a spot: whether it’s popping the question at the top of Gorham Mountain Trail while the sun rises, or proposing as the sun sets behind you at Otter Point. Or maybe you have a picnic-at-the-beach vibe, and want to propose while the sun is shining bright. Whatever your vision is, I’ll help you bring it to life, and more importantly, capture it on camera!
I get it - you want privacy, but locations that are easily accessible. Fortunately, I’ve scoped out and photographed at plenty of spots in Maine and have gathered a comprehensive list for all my favorite spots for surprise proposals. Check out the spots here!

At least one phone call to coordinate your proposal plan
*Videos, photos, and map locations detailing where to park and how to get from the parking lot to the proposal spot
Written instructions to coincide with the videos and photos to make it super clear how to get to where you will propose
Details about where I will be and where I’ll be so you know you’re in the right spot
Photo documentation of moments leading up to the proposal, the proposal itself, and portraits of you both after
48 hour turnaround time (and usually 24 hours or less!) so that you can start sharing photos with friends and family ASAP!
50+ edited images (closer to 100+ usually) with unlimited downloads
Restaurants, things to do and see, and other location related information to help you plan your trip all around
Ongoing & unlimited support to answer any questions or to just ease your nerves!

You’ll get a fully developed and coordinated proposal plan with little to no thinking on your end, as well as beautiful photos to capture this momentous event, a fiancé/fiancée who also gets photos from their proposal AND to be able to brag to everyone that their partner hired a photographer, and a story to tell all your friends and family about how you pulled this all off. How It Works

Step 1.
Decide on a date, or range of dates that work for you and your partner, as well as a location, or a general location. You can also describe your ideal proposal scenario! Send me an inquiry via my website with this info, and I'll get back to you within 48 hours!

Step 2.
Based on your inquiry, I’ll send back my availability, recommended time(s) for the best chance of privacy, sunrise, or sunset, and ideal spots for your surprise proposal! I’ll also share my availability for a phone call to really go over the details!

Step 3.
I’ll give you a call to learn more about you and your partner, and answer any questions! We’ll confirm a location and a time — and based on that, I’ll let you know when I’ll arrive, how you’ll know it’s me, where I’ll be standing, where you should stand, and very detailed instructions how to get there!

Step 4.
After our call, I’ll send you a contract and an invoice for you to sign and pay a 50% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date and time! Once it’s signed and paid, you’ve officially booked me at your surprise proposal photographer!

Step 5.
The week of your surprise proposal, I’ll check-in with you and make sure you feel confident with the proposal plan. I’ll also send map pins, photos, and/or videos to help better clarify the plan!

Step 6.
The day of the proposal! I’ll arrive early/before you, capture the proposal and portraits of you both after, and the edit and deliver your photos to you in an online gallery in less than 48 hours! Once delivered, you and your partner have unlimited download access and can share the moment with friends and family!
